Santa Monica Place Kid's Club (2011)
Santa Monica, CA, USA
Ripbang Studio’s purposed solution is Samo’s Club House, a 1000 square-foot play area featuring Samo, a 45’ long sculptural whale. This fantastic “Kids’ Club House” is a sculpture that is fun to play on. It is designed to engage a child’s imagination and inspire a healthy lifestyle that will support the mission of Mattel Children’s Hospital UCLA: “the better way to get better.”
Samo’s Club House will be the focal point of the Santa Monica Place family experience and the primary component of the Samo’s Kids Club.
It will convey information about being healthy and the environment and will be a great place for public awareness events with organizations like Heal the Bay.
It will be an iconic photo opportunity.
Its detailed execution, and high level of entertainment will reinforce and enhance the Santa Monica Place brand.
